Language Arts: Do assigned partner reading and write 5-6 questions if you are not done. OR Read for 1/2 hour and complete a reading log entry for tonight.
Math: Khan Academy: Do 10 problems and write them down.
Course Selection Sheets for next year went home. Fill these out with your parents help and turn in sooner than later.
Today in class:
Math: We did exercises in the book. Students seem to understand well how to draw pictures to support their math.
Language Arts; Most students have finished their reading books for the Lit Trip and are putting final touches on their computer Google Earth project. This is why some students are reading free choice books instead of partner reading. Good job everyone!
Science: We discussed energy levels in an ecosystem. We read from the text book and took notes about herbivores, carnivores, producers, scavengers etc.
Social Studies: We finished our quick overview of the different provinces of Canada. We will be studying each region in more detail as the weeks progress. We will begin with the Maritime Provinces.
